Ian Adams is an award-winning reporter and editor, and has worked with newspapers in the south Georgian Bay area for more than 25 years, covering politics at all three levels, crime, sports, and community events.

He has also worked at various times as a radio news announcer, cable television playback operator, roofer, and the best job he ever had a gofer on the Hollywood movie, A Long Kiss Goodnight, only because Geena Davis flashed
him a smile.

When not out on an assignment, he can usually be found – in the summer, that is – on the water with the Collingwood Dragon Boat and Canoe Club.

He and his wife, Janet, have two sons, and two dogs.
